Heismans and Cheesesteaks
December 31, 2009 by Charley's
Seeing as bowl season is here, we thought it would be a good time to publish a post about some street team action we did this past college football season. Charley’s was founded in the heart of Buckeye Country, on High Street on THE Ohio State University’s campus. We’ve got locations around the world now , but we don’t forget our roots, or the fact that football fans love Phillys.
Tailgates are an awesome part of American culture. On 2 different Football Saturdays this fall we headed down to campus to tailgate with fans, stir up some OH- IO cheers, snap a few pictures and of course give away some Charley’s food. We hung out in parking lots around the stadium, at houses on campus and at our restaurant on High Street.
Theres nothing quite like Game Day in Columbus. Campus is buzzing and people are in the eating-drinking-GO BUCKS-and-anyone-playing-Michigan mood. Check out some of the pictures we took here.
You guys rock! Heisman poses and OH -IOs everywhere we turned. You also told us some great stuff about what we’re doing, how we’re doing it and how we can do it better. That’s why we came down to hang out: to get some Philly gift certificates out there, to get fired up for the games and to hear what you are thinking about Charley’s.
We’re taking a look at some of the things you said and making good changes for our Game Day teams for next year. Expect to see us back and on a bunch of campuses next season .
Any suggestions of where we should visit?
Hope your team had a great season and you’re enjoying the bowls.
Happy New Year.
